Baby Update!!

I just thought you'd like to know the lastest news. I went for an appointment this morning and my doctor decided to do another ultrasound because my belly was measuring small. I was barely 26 inches top to bottom instead of closer to 29. She wanted to make sure our baby was growing right. Well the ultrasound was FINE. She is doing great. She has a strong heartbeat and all the measurements were right on target. I am 29 weeks.
AND guess what. We could already tell that she has a FULL head of hair! You could see it all messy on her head flying and stuff. I was so surprised. I thought my family would appreciate that. I guess I'll need a baby brush after all. No taping bows to her head like they did for me. :)

The doctor said that it is probably because I am taller, and it is my first baby. She said don't worry about anything. I still can't see a clear picture of her face. She is already head down and she is belly down too - so her butt is up.

It was relieving first of all to know everything is fine, and it was so wonderful just to see pictures of her again. I go again in 4 weeks.

Black Friday

OK I'm psycho. I decided to wake up at 5am and do this crazy shopping thing today. HOLY COW. Maddness! I got to Target at 6:10 but it took me 15 min to find parking. I got inside and it was crazy. I got incredible deals for sure, but I ended up having to wait in the check out line for like 30 min. Seriously the line wrapped all the way around the store to the back corner where the holiday stuff is. Ohh and there were 2 lines. I was in the wrong one for like 10 min without realizing it. So crazy.
Then I decided to go to Kohl's. That place was worse. Well the shopping wasn't, but the lines. I was in line for at least 45 min.
I got great deals at both places, and I only have like 3 people to buy for now, but I am exhasted now. AND I wasn't fully organized. I needed to have the stores ads with me and have the entire morning planned out. I got a lot, but I was aimlessly wandering the store. There were women there with 3 shopping carts full of electrtonics and toys and appliances. I've never seen anything like it.
It is worth it- to me because of the deals. but psycho.

We think we have chosen a name. We are still just debating on the middle name as of now... but we are only debating between 2. AND I think I like one and Evan likes the other. Go figure.

It's exciting though. We were originally going to keep it a secret until she was born, but now that we may figure it out this early, I'm not sure I want to keep it a secret.
We'll see. If it is fully decided before she appears, maybe we will spill.

It's so weird being resposible to name another human being. kind of daunting.

So I know it's been a few weeks since I blogged. My life has been very busy, but pretty boring too. Not a whole lot has happened.
My trip to Houston was great. It was wonderful to see my mom and Austin, and all my family. The shower my mom threw me was fun. I got all kinds of stuff. A lot more than I thought I was going to get.

The week after my trip, my friend had her baby. Elisabeth Marie. So beautiful. Then we left for Ensanada Mexico for a week long conference. It was really good, but a lot of information. 40+ hours of teaching in 6 days. 4 sessions a day. I was exhasted. We all were. But I am sooo glad we went. It gave me a new understanding, a fresh revelation and fire for what YWAM is and why we do what we do. Hearing stories from the founders was so amazing.

NOW I am crazy getting ready for an open house we are having next week. I keep thinking I have everything under control, and that it is all ok, but I have this sneaky feeling that Wednesday I am going to have a mini-meltdown. Let's pray that doesn't happen. I will be able to breathe after Nov 11.
THEN we (SOMD) plan the Xmas party for the base. I can delegate most of that to my students though! Praise the Lord.

OK. back to work. :) joy!
