ok, our big news at the momemt, isn't ALL that big, but I guess it's news none the less.
This year Evan gets a Sabatical because this is the 7th year he has been in YWAM, which of course means that I get the sabatical too! yipeee. so we are taking a GRAND cross country trip (well half the country) here is our projected route.

LA to Tuscon for 1 nite with the Nelsons
Tuscon to El Paso to see most of my family. We will be there for like 2 1/2 weeks
El Paso to San Antonio for 1 night with more family
San Antonio to Houston for a week with my mom and brother
Houston to Dallas to see yet another aunt of mine for 1 night
Dallas to Kansas city to see all of Evan's family for the longest leg of our trip (3 weeks)
Kansas to Colorado to see friends and supporters
Colorado down to El Paso again (cuz it's a free p;ace to stay on the way home)
El Paso back to LA (maybe stopping again somewhere)

It's going to be psycho. Evan went online to calculate the miles of our journey. And JUST the drives to the city is 4,200 miles or something. That is not counting any driving we would do once we got to any of the cities.

My main worry is Aubrie. At the moment she loves her car seat and will sleep for 2 or 3 hours in it no problem but I am afraid she will grow to hate it by the end, and will not be easy to travel with. And I know that once we get to our destination she will be ALL thrown off and stay awake ALL night. We shall see. What are we thinking??!!

It will be so good to see everyone though. I am really excited for everyone to meet Aubrie and to have a change of pace.
We leave in like 5 weeks. Yikes!

ok I am sooo sorry that I haven't posted....

it's been kind of crazy here. 2 weeks ago my brother drove my car out here and was here for like 5 days... so we have a bigger car now! yipee! the day he left my cousin came in for 2 days and 3 days later my mom was here for a week while Evan went to a leaders conference. I need to get a picture site up which is what I will work on next. I promise in the next week or so I will do a major update.

life has been semi boring.
I mean not really cuz I have a daughter, but there is not much to report. I pretty much stay home. Now I am trying to teach Aubrie to fall aleep on her own. Not an easy thing to do. We got in a couple of not-so-great habits that we have to break now. So I pretty much have to listen to her cry for an hour straight- which is SO hard. I go in and pat her to reassure her every 15 or so but it is still not fun. I broke down the other day. She was so tired and hadn't slept ALL day (like 6 hours) and I was so tired of just listening to her cry.
I'm ready for a breakthrough.

Grandparents come to visit!
Evan's parents came to visit last weekend. It was a great time. Mostly sitting around enjoying Aubrie. Linda helped me clean our old place since we haven't done that yet.

So here is that baby shower post.

My friends threw me a surprise baby shower on Saturday January 20th, and I ended up having Aubrie 5 days later... that is really crazy to think about. It was so much fun- and I was totally surprised. Sorry Andrea if I caused some frustration! :-P
I loved every second of it and was completly blessed!

Aubrie Louise has arrived!

I know it has almost been 2 weeks since I gave birth to my baby girl... I need to post pictures. I have several on my camera that I need to upload. We have been a little busy and sleep deprived. (duh) plus we are in the process of moving.

Born January 25, 2007 (her daddy's birthday) 5lbs 8oz. 18 inches long.
Steel grey/blue eyes, a little light brown hair. She beautiful and perfect. I can't believe she's mine and she is here.

It's 2007

I haven't posted for the new year. Not much to say. Most everyone who reads this knows the latest on my life. I'm home bound for the next 2 weeks. I'm bored and I still have work to do. Luckily I have access to some work stuff at the house.
My life is pretty boring right now. Just waiting for the contractions to start for real, so I can meet my baby girl.
I think I'm at that point now. I told Evan last night. "I'm ready to meet her!!" I think especially since I'm kind of starting the process, I'm all anxious.

So - no profound thoughts today... wish I could clean and get ready for this arrival, but that's on hold too. ohh well God knows.

Hopefully I'll have more interesting stuff to post soon.

Well I'm 33 weeks.

I went to the doctor yesterday and everything looks fine. I am still measuring small. I am only 30 cm instead of around 32 or 33. But she said she isn't going to worry about it because her heartbeat sounds strong.
I guess I should be thankful... I am.
We are in our birthing classes now. We had our 2nd one last night. It's funny, I am more squeemish and nervous by everything than Evan is. Watching videos and practicing the breathing stuff... I'm getting all nervous.
I know it will be fine, and as they say in class- the pain is temporary and it's pain with a purpose! yah- ok. :)
